Microsoft is excited to announce that sharepoint 2010 Beta can be installed in an Client OS (Win 7 & Vista). *I installed Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit *Tried installing sharepoint 2010 Beta and I was getting the following error: Problem : --------------------------- Setup Errors --------------------------- Setup is unable to proceed due to the following error(s): This product requires Windows Server 2008 (x64).Correct the issue(s) listed above and re-run setup. ---------------------------   Solution : *The Setup extracts the file at this location - C:\Program Files (x86)\MSECache\ *Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\MSECache\oserver2010\Files\Setup\ *Open config file and add the below line    " < Setting   Id = "AllowWindowsClientInstall"   Value = "True" />" *Save and try the installation again. It should go smooth.
